A Touch of Light will host its third annual Veteran Captive Art™ exhibition for the month of November in the A/NT Gallery at Seattle Center. The show features work created by justice-involved veterans from around the United States and is being held in collaboration with local veteran groups and community organizations involved in justice-related work. The opening reception is Saturday, November 2nd, from 6-9pm. Attending organizations include Brigadoon Service Dogs (an organization that works with justice-involved vets to train service animals for wounded vets and disabled children), Adonai Counseling & Employment Services (providing re-entry services & support throughout Washington State), and the American Legion Band’s Brass Quintet. The event is free and open to the public. Current and former members of the military are particularly welcome and encouraged to attend. A Touch of Light works with Captive Artists™ from around the world, using the Arts to create & support Second Chances for justice-involved members of the community and their families. We are strongly committed to working with military Veterans, using art therapy programs to help heal the combined trauma of combat exposure and incarceration.
